Globetenets Project offers a training programme in Waste Recycling and Furniture, where we seek to develop change-makers and social entrepreneurs who are driven to sustain our environment and reduce the drivers of climate change.

COURSE DETAILS

The short course in Waste Recycling and Furniture Making is intended to tap into the potential offered by recycling waste to make furniture artefacts. It outlines a step-by-step strategy to the various waste recycling procedures as well as the know-how to launch small businesses in this field.

Our students will have a solid foundation for launching successful ventures and sustainable livelihoods when combined with our highly experienced and motivated professional trainers.

All students will carry out technical skills training and research, and will receive mentorship during and after the course.

Outcomes of the Course

Students will:

  • ~ Learn about climate change and how to contribute towards environmental preservation.
  • ~ Learn various technical waste conversion processes and procedures.
  • ~ Learn how to recognise opportunities in waste management and recycling waste for furniture use.
  • ~ Learn how to turn waste into raw material for making furniture.
  • ~ Learn how to use digital platforms to market and sell their work.
  • ~ Train to be self-employed and establish a sustainable income through furniture-making from waste material.

Courses are available at Beginner, Intermediary and Advanced levels.

Students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion after the course.
